Abstrak

Bali Province is famous for its cultural tourism. One element in culture that attracts foreign tourists to come to visit Bali is the language. Balinese language besides being used in everyday social life is also used in folklore that is passed down orally. Although the stories in Balinese have already begun to be printed in written form, but it can not attract the interest of the younger generation. One of the things that can be done to attract young people to read Balinese stories is to group the stories according to the topic. Thus, the reader can determine the desired topic and then read Balinese stories that fall into that topic category. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) technique can be used to find the hidden topics contained in each story. By using LDA, each topic will be represented by N number of top words which will then be used as features in grouping the stories. In this research, an application prototype will be built to group Balinese stories according to the topics they contain. With the development of the application, it is hoped that it can increase the interest of young Balinese to read Balinese stories which will in turn preserve cultural tourism in Bali.
