Abstrak
This study used 24 white female
Wistar rats aged 54 days divided into four treatment groups, namely one
negative control and three doses of C.
calothyrsus leaf extract. The parameters observed were blood
estrogen levels and the weight and histological structure of the uterus wall (uterine
diameter and thickness of the endometrium, myometrium and perimetrium)
of female rats. Effective dosage of C.
calothyrsus was 70 mg/kg bw leaf extract, which could increase
estrogen hormone levels but did not decrease uterine weight,
and still maintained the diameter and thickness of the endometrium, myometrium and perimetrium
layers in prepubertal female rats (remain normal as the control group).
