Types of Birds by Food Type in Subak Mambal Rice Field, Badung Regency

Abstrak
High diversity of bird species is the basic capital to make
an area as one of the ecotourism destinations such as "bird
watching", in addition, subak can also be developed into "Subak
Tourism". The purpose of this study was to determine the types of birds
based on the type of food in Subak Mambal rice fields, Badung Regency.
Observations were made using the roaming method in all locations in April-May
2018. The time of observation was carried out in the morning at 06.30-10: 00
pm, and continued in the afternoon at 16: 00-18: 30 pm. The observations were
34 species of birds. The types of birds that predominate are insectivorous
birds / small caterpillars, small lizards, lizards and small grain-eating /
fruit-eating birds, but fish-eating, frogs, eels and nectar / honey-sucking
birds are found, 2 species of birds based on type of sound, there are 7 types
of birds that are protected (L) by government regulations because it is rare
and appendix. The use of birds as ecotourism attractions "bird
watching" in this area is the diversity of bird species, bird status, bird
activity and interaction of birds with vegetation / habitat. Interesting
activities for ecotourism attractions are foraging, flying flying, perching and
nesting activities.
