The growth and yield of Panicum maximum grass planted association with different amounts of legume
Funding period : 2020- Active
Abstrak
Research to find out the growth and yield of Panicum maximum grass planted association with different amounts of legume. The
experiment will be carried out in a greenhouse and last for 2 months. The
design used in this experiment was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with ten
treatments and each treatment was repeated 6 , so there were 60 experimental
pots. These treatments include: P0 (Panicum maximum); P1 (Panicum maximum +1
Clitoria ternatea); P2 (Panicum maximum +2 Clitoria ternatea); P3 (Panicum
maximum +3 Clitoria ternatea); P4 (Panicum maximum +1 Centrocema pubescens); P5
(Panicum maximum +1 Centrocema pubescens); P6 (Panicum maximum +2 Centrocema
pubescens); P7 (Panicum maximum +3 Centrocema pubescens); P8 (Panicum maximum
+1 Arachis pintoi); P9 (Panicum maximum +2 Arachis pintoi); and P10 (Panicum
maximum +3 Arachis pintoi). Variables observed included: plant height, number
of tillers, number of branches, number of leaves, leaf dry weight, stem dry
weight, root dry weight, total forage dry weight, leaf dry weight ratio with
dry stem weight, total dry weight ratio for weight with weight dried roots, and
leaf area per pot. The results of this study are expected to provide
information on the development of forage to overcome the problems in providing
quality forage and its quantity available throughout the year, as well as
scientific information for the development of science and technology and
national journals.
