Health profile of goats that are reared by smallholder farmers in Serangan Village, South Denpasar

Abstrak
The aim of this research is to identify types of general diseases especially endoparasites infection affecting health profile of goats reared in Kampung Bugis Serangan Village, Bali. Data of farmer and goat profiles that were reared in Serangan Village were collected through direct observations, structured formal household interviews, and key informant interviews from January to March 2020. Only three farmers still rear goats in Serangan and they are involved in this study. Each farmer rears their goats in colony house and the goats were free in public areas surround the Serangan Village. All the farmers feed their goats with forage, one of them adds probiotic that is mixed with drinking water and provided ad libitum while another farmer feed odot (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) silage. Parameters observed are faeces test and FAMACHA© score. Results are expected to inform the health profile of goats reared in Serangan Village especially that are infected by endoparasites.
