Abstrak
Community empowerment activities through the PKW program Kesiman Sub-district East Denpasar Kodya Denpasar aims to: practice the science and technology results of the development of tertiary institutions through collaboration with the local government of the City of Denpasar to develop the potential of the region and the community in Kesiman Village. The target outputs include: (1) building awareness of partner communities towards understanding the Eco Village concept; (2) technical guidance for fish farming on narrow land and the use of idle land; (3) packaging of the Bindu watershed as a means of recreation and urban farming and (4) opening of a traditional culinary stand.
The method applied to achieve these targets is through training, science and technology simulations and assistance. Programs implemented include: 1) a participatory rural approach, which is a participatory approach that involves the community at all stages of the activity from planning to evaluation; 2) transfer technology, which is in finding solutions to problems based on the transfer of appropriate technological innovation to the community, such as: (a) fermentation technology (MOL); (b) small-area freshwater fish farming; (c) spination, vacuum prying and vacuum sealing in traditional food processing; (d) urban farming technology and 3). entrepreneurship capacity building, namely building community entrepreneurial insights through the establishment of traditional food processing business groups (KUBE), management competencies, accounting and marketing.
