SUPPLEMENTATION OF ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS IN CORN-POLLARD BASIC FEED ON BREAST THE BALI PIG

Funding period : 2020- Active

Abstrak

Supplementation of a mixture of essential amino acids (lysine, methionine and tryptophan) in traditional diets in pigs to supplement the needs of limited amino acids (limited amino acids). Traditional feed given to Bali pigs on community farms or traditional farms in rural areas generally only uses rice bran or a mixture of rice bran with corn bran or ingredients derived from green food.

This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of supplementation of essential amino acids in traditional feed on carcasses in pigs that were kept for 12 weeks. The results of this study will be able to answer the use of synthetic amino acids as supplementary nutrients in traditional feeds in bali pigs. bali will be greatly helped by the results of this study, also in the supply of bali pig food which is cheaper and based on local feed ingredients supplemented with amino acid crystals.

The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and each treatment contained 4 replications, so in this study using 3 x 4 tails = 12 weaning male Bali pigs. The treatments that were tested on weaning Bali pigs were feed treatments consisting of: P0 treatment: corn and pollard base feed mix; P1: P0 feed + mixture of lysine, methionine and tryptophan amino acids; P2: standard feed.

The ingredients of the experimental pig feed consist of: yellow corn, pollard, lysine amino acids, methionine and tryptophan, commercial concentrate 152, table salt and minerals.

Observation data included carcasses and their fractures in Bali pigs from the experimental results for 12 weeks. The observational data were then analyzed by analysis of variance (analysis of variance), if there were significant differences P <0.05), then the analysis was continued with Duncan's New Multiples Range Test analysis (Steel and Torrie, 1989).
