APPLICATION OF MODERN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES SAVING AND LOAN COOPERATIVE PUSKOPDIT BALI ARTHA IS USED IN BALI

The purpose of this study is to examine and reveal several issues relating to the application of modern management in the management of Savings and Loans Cooperatives (KSP), especially in KSP Puskopdit Bali Artha Guna. Bali Artha Guna Puskopdit is a secondary KSP which until the end of 2018 had 20 primary cooperative members with 58,520 individual members spread across Bali. Cooperatives as a form of business entity engaged in the economy have a management structure that is somewhat different from other business entities. The difference stems from the nature of cooperative management, which is based on the philosophy of, by and for members that reflects the implementation of the democratic philosophy that characterizes cooperatives. For this reason, the cooperative management structure is known to have meetings of members, management, supervisors and managers. Thus it is clear that cooperative management is business management that is generally applied to the construction of cooperative businesses. To achieve the goals of cooperatives, a good management system needs to be implemented, namely implementing management functions. These functions include planning (organizing), organizing (organizing), mobilization to work (actuating), and supervision (controlling). In general, cooperatives in Indonesia are encouraged to digitize their operational systems to remain competitive in the millennial era that is familiar with technology. In building and developing credit cooperatives in addition to referring to the principle of cooperatives, it also refers to the three pillars developed by Reiffeisen. First, self-help, meaning helping and striving from himself; second, conducting education to cooperative human resources; third, solidarity, meaning that fellow management, supervisors, members, managers and employees must help each other, build and strengthen. Some issues that need to be explained: 1) in what ways the development of modern management has been carried out at the KSP Puskopdit Bali Artha Guna; 2) how the implementation of modern management practices in cooperatives in the face of business competition today; 3) what benefits can be generated for the community especially cooperative members in Bali.
