School Theater Activity at SMAN 1 Tabanan, SMAN 1 Gianyar, and SMAN 1 Kuta Selatan

Theater is one of the favourite extracurricular activities in high school. Previous research (Triadnyani, 2019) proved that students’ interest in this activity is high. From several activities held, 40 % of students stated that they joined literary community at school because of theater. This research aims to look further into theater activities especially at high school level in districts of Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan. The method used is a field method which supported by literature method. The technique is used a questionnaire and interview. The results obtained are that students like theater or drama activities because it can be a place to develop their selves and creativity.
