This paper reveals the epidemic caused by the virus and how to deal with it that has hit the island of Bali, especially those written in traditional literary works. Data were tracked through the literature study method assisted by note-taking techniques. This qualitative data is then 'dissected' with hermeneutic theory coupled with a heuristic reading method to obtain a comprehensive meaning. Based on the analysis, the results show that texts that reveal the outbreaks caused by the virus in Bali can be categorized into two: (1) texts that record (record) outbreaks due to viruses and (2) texts that educate the public about health knowledge and governance. how to deal with viruses. Outbreaks of viral diseases recorded in traditional Balinese literature since the middle of the 18th century are written in Kidung Ndérét (territory of the Kingdom of Mengwi, Badung-Bali). Still in the Badung area (the city), records of the plague were written in the text Geguritan Nengah Jimbaran (late 19th century) by Cokorda Mantuk ring Rana (king of Badung). Furthermore, the Geguritan Jayaprana text also reveals the plague that had occurred in Buleleng (northern Bali). Educational texts about health knowledge and procedures for overcoming viruses, are expressed in Geguritan Kesehatan by a doctor named Ida Bagus Rai. Traditional Balinese texts (usadha), which are written in lontars such as Usada Durga Kala, Ratuning Usada, Cukil Daki contain diseases caused by viruses and how to deal with them. The text entitled Jejimatan, Widhi Sastra Rogha Sanghanga Bhumi is a text that contains various amulets to repel disease (one of which is due to a virus) and steps to neutralize disease outbreaks caused by viruses.
