The Mother Tongue as the Identity of the Bio-linguistic Diversity in Denpasar

The study aims to determine and analyze the status of Balinese as a mother tongue and as a symbol of Balinese ethnic identity. It includes: 1) the periodization of children's Balinese mastery in the diversity of speakers' biolinguistics, 2) the use of Balinese as the language of instruction in education in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and 3) the use of children's language in the realm of households, education, neighbours (playmates) and others.
