In North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) there are still many interesting tourism objects to visit, especially the traditional Lombok village which is not yet known to tourists. One of them is now developing is the Senaru Traditional Village in Bayan District, which is the location of this research. Senaru is at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level, which has cool air and natural environment. In the Senaru Traditional Village stands a number of typical buildings of Lombok made of bamboo ranging from poles, walls to doors. While the roof is not using tile but reeds are widely found in the region. While the foundation of the house in the form of soil or stone. All of them can survive because the community has local wisdom that is a supporter of environmental sustainability in the village of Senaru. This condition needs to be maintained in the midst of tourism development in the village of Senaru. The emergence of the industrialization of tourism, has encouraged the development of cultural tourism in the country, especially on the island of Lombok. But underneath it all, it seems to be aware that the development of cultural tourism must also pay attention to the elements of cultural preservation and sustainability. The problem to be investigated is: 1. How does the community preserve its traditional village environment based on local wisdom. 2. How is the effort to maintain the culture of traditional houses in the Senaru village community in facing the development of tourism. Both of these research problems will be tried to solve them through the perspective of ecological anthropology.
