Abstrak

The structure of political discourse in Indonesian television media is determined by three structures: (1) text, (2) practice of discourse and (3) social practice. In the media discourse, especially television media which are programmed as interactive shows, both in the studio and outside the studio, the text pattern contains three stages: (a) initiation text which contains a pattern of preliminary disclosures to stimulate dynamic ideas, (b) textual responses designed to provide answers or responses to the initiated topic, and (c) feedback as a way to develop the topic into subordinate topics. Meanwhile, the structure of discourse practice is also determined by three processes: (a) text production, (b) text distribution and (c) text consumption. Text production is related to the system engineering program that is produced in order to achieve a goal based on the ideology of the media adopted. In the news of Indonesian television networking, information engineering is heavily influenced by aspects outside the text: (a) topic selection, (b) capacity of the host, (c) point of view, (d) elaboration of facts, sources of discourse and figures. The third structure of discourse is related to social practices represented by the choice of ideology and its relationship to the power system. In the practice of power there is always a relationship of hegemony or dominance of one discourse participant with another discourse participant.
