Information Literacy Evaluation Using Empowering 8 for Students in Bali Province

The purpose of this study is to determine information literacy by using the internet as a medium for searching information conducted by students in High Schools (SMA) in the Province of Bali with using Empowering Model 8 (E8). This type of research is research quantitative using descriptive methods. The population of this study is students at High Schools in the Province of Bali. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 10% so that a sample of 300 people was obtained. The sampling technique at This research uses accidental sampling technique. Collection technique this research data using a questionnaire. The results of data analysis are expected to provides an illustration that information literacy is owned by students in the School Senior High School in Bali Province by using the Empowering standard reference 8 has the ability of identification (identification), the ability to explore (explore), ability to select (select), organization (organization), ability information creation (create), presentation skills (present), capabilities assessment (assessment) and the ability to apply (apply) in utilizing information.
