As long as the government still cannot limit and control the broadcasting of the country's media, especially the private media, given that the existence of the government itself is supported by these media; then we as a public or an individual should have a strong cognitive base to ward off shows that are not educational, not intellectual, and tend to be detrimental. As stated by Stuart Hall, there are three audience positions in receiving television shows. First, the position of "dominant hagemonic", that is, those who believe in and just agree with everything that is said by the media. Second, the "negative" position, namely those who do not fully agree on television shows. Third, the position of "opposition", ie those who completely disagree with television information. In this case, an intelligent and critical audience is indicated by the last two positions; negative and oppositional. It is fitting for the Indonesian people to be dominated by these two types of audience.
