In the realm of social-humanities, there are two types of research based on their orientation, namely basic research or basic research, and applied research or applied research. Basic research is used to discover new concepts or theories, and is generally less pressing for the community. Meanwhile, applied research is used to solve various social problems directly. Thus, based on the degree of urgency, applied research is considered more urgent than basic research. Furthermore, this study is classified in basic research because it seeks to formulate new concepts in the analysis of existentialism literary discourse along with the study chart or table. It is therefore hoped that, after this research has been carried out, the existentialism literary reviewers will no longer need to borrow tables from Norman Fairclough, Charles Sanders Pierce's discourse, or even Roland Barthes's semiotics. It can be said, the effort to compile an existentialism literature discourse analysis table is an attempt for the first time carried out in the country, even the world.
