MEMBACA KESIAPAN PRAKTISI MEDIS DI PULAU BALI DALAM MENGHADAPI MASYARAKAT EKONOMI ASEAN 2015

Abstract The significant implication of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is labor migration that brings opportunity and challenge for ASEAN people. The work opportunities and the chance to work in ASEAN countries, inevitably will be followed by the competition level among the job seekers, especially medical practitioner. This circumstances brings concern for the stakeholder to create grand strategy in facing work competition. Indonesia is the founding father of ASEAN with its highest population in the South East Asia region will get the impact of the competition. Thus, the aim of the research to see the readiness of medical practitioner in Bali facing AEC with participatory planning in research method, gaining depth observation to know the real impact of post implementation of AEC. The main result of the research found that the regulation for foreign medical practitioner already determined by the Association of Indonesian Doctors as the main instrument in facing AEC. Besides, the association encourage the national doctors to have international competitiveness in access international market. The expectation of the research giving the ideas and suggestion to the stakeholders in empower the capability of Indonesian medical practitioners.
