Background: Food products, especially drinking water, can become a source of infection called waterborne disease. This can be caused by infectious agents, especially E. coli bacteria, which have a high level of resistance in water and also a high prevalence of disease caused by these bacteria. Ice cubes were one of the food ingredients made from drinking water and were used in Indonesia to cool drinks or create cold drink creations. There had been no research that discussed the level of bacterial contamination in Bangli Regency. Evaluation of the prevalence of E. coli bacterial contamination in ice cubes is the aim of this research which was conducted in Bangli Regency in 2023. Methods: The cross-sectional descriptive approach was the method chosen in this research. Samples in the form of ice cubes were taken from 30 traders in Bangli Regency with 7-8 samples taken from each sub-district. The samples were cultured with LB media for the MPN test procedure and EMBA. This procedure was done to detect the E. coli in the samples. The culture in the media with pictures of colonies suspected of being positive for related bacteria was conducted. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively to determine the positive percentage of E. coli on the ice cube. Results: In 30 samples, positive sample results were obtained as many as 5 (16.67%) of all samples tested. Conclusion: There was E. coli contamination in ice cube samples taken from beverage traders in Bangli Regency as many as 5 samples (16.67%).
