PERAN DAN KENDALA PEMULIHAN PARIWISATA BALI PASCABOM (SUATU KASUS DISPARDA PROVINSI BALI)

Abstract Bali tourism has had an effect on all aspects of Balinese society by making Bali vulnerable to security issues. The evidence of that occurred when the Bali bombing tragedy happened on 12 October 2002 and October 2005, when bombs rocked the tourism sector is confirmed by a decrease in the number of tourists. The purpose of this study was to find the role and the constraints faced by the tourism department in the recovery after the explosions so that the future role of tourism services can be optimized and all constraints minimized. This study used a qualitative approach based on primary data and secondary data obtained from the informant (purposive sampling). The results suggest one role in the recovery of the tourism department after the Bali bombing was to implement a policy of the central government which established a recovery team together with Bali’s tourism stakeholders and the public. Constraints in the department of tourism in Bali can be viewed internally and externally and in essence, the tourism department in Bali should have greater power to control the recovery of tourism but is in fact precisely the position of department of tourism sub- ordinate positions.
