Ekspresi kolagen III pada ligamentum sakrouterina wanita paskamenopoause lebih rendah dari wanita premenopause

Abstrak

Recently, etiology causing pelvic organ prolapse are remain unknown. There is some evidence that abnormalities of the connective tissue composition may contribute to the pathogenesis of pelvic organ prolapse. The most important connective tissue in pelvic support system is uterosacral ligament. Menopause is a significant risk factor for pelvic organ prolapse because of decreasing estrogen hormone can influence collagen metabolism. This study was a cross-sectional design aim to understand whether collagen III expression at uterosacral ligament in postmenopausal women is lower than premenopausal women. This study was conducted since October 24th 2015 until October 23rd 2016. Among 60 women who underwent total hyterectomy at Sanglah General Hospital, Denpasar studied, 30 women already postmenopause and 30 women still premenopause. Collagen III expression at uterosacral ligament was analyzed in Animal Medicine Faculty and Histology Department of Medical Faculty Udayana University, Denpasar. Data was statistically analyzed with Shapiro-Wilk test and Levene test for normality and homogenity, then analyzed with independent sample test. The result of this study was the mean collagen III expresion at uterosacral ligament postmenopausal women is 39.87 ± 17.48%. Meanwhile the mean colagen III expresion at uterosacral ligament premenopausal women is 69.12 ± 12.64%. Analysis of significance with independent t-test concluded that the value of t = 7.43 and P = 0.001, showing that collagen III expresion at uterosacral ligament postmenopausal women is differ with premenopausal women significantly (p < 0.05). This research conclude that collagen III expresion at uterosacral ligament of postmenopausal women was lower than premenopausal women.
