Modern Architecture Principles on Vernacular Architecture in Some Developing Countries

Modernism thinking had influenced many aspects of our society. Architecture is one of the aspect which influenced by modernism concepts since the 1900’s and had bring many new concepts on styles and building codes. These concepts were applied all over the world both in developed and developing countries and in the few years later many disagreements raised based on of those concepts. International style, rejection of ornament, simplicity and functionality as the concepts of Modern Architecture finally raise negative responses in some developing countries, as those concepts were not suitable with their way of life, culture and tradition in relation with architecture. Discussion between Modern Architecture principles and Vernacular Architecture principles in this essay will be based on those modern concepts as mention above in some developing countries.
