Abstrak

The 4.0 revolution led to the rapid development of technology, especially in the field of advanced materials. Various materials have been researched to obtain new breakthroughs such as composites. Composite is a material produced from two or more different constituent materials to improve the mechanical properties of the materials. The application of automation technology provides many advantages such as reduced human involvement in the production process of a material which is replaced by smart manufacturing technology. This research applies the application of internet of things technology in the process of smart manufacture of vacuum infusion in order to facilitate the composite molding process. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the validation and performance of the internet of things-based automatic vacuum infusion system. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the validation results of pumping resin, catalyst and dryer has an average error percentage value below 10%. This result is very feasible to be able to produce a resin mixture that is able to print composites well.
