Qualitative phenotypic trait is a characteristic that can not be measured but can be distinguished clearly. Skin color and whorl of hair are the examples of this trait that frequently to be considerable factors in choosing a race bufflalo. An observational research conducted on 63 male swamp buffaloes for race aimed to determine the phenotypic differences (skin colorand whorl of hair) of swamp buffaloes between Block Ijo Gading Barat and Block Ijo Gading Timur, in Jembrana Regency, Bali. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square and Multiple Correspondence to depict the profile of characeristics of two blocks of buffaloes. The result of the research showed that there were two types of skin color acrross the block of the buffaloes. Those were a dark gray which is more dominant and albino, in which their proportions were not significantly different (p?0,05) between Block Ijo Gading Barat and Block Ijo Gading Timur. Of all characteristics of whorls, whorl on the right shoulder and on the left shoulder had a different proportion withits fellowin two blocks. In general, it can be concluded that the phenotypic profile of swamp buffaloes in Block Ijo Gading Barat are the same as those of in Block Ijo Gading Timur.
