Abstrak
There have been studies of the histological structure of male and female goat skins. The histological structure and histomorphometry were taken from two region of skin, which is thethorax and abdomen. The Sampleswere collected from 2-3 yearsoldEtawah goat, and thanwasstainedusing aHarris-Hematoxilin Eosin method. The data were analysis based on the region and sex. The resultsshowedthat the histological structure of Etawah cross breed consistsof threelayerswere epidermis, dermis, and hipodermisrespectively. The epidermiscomposedby stratum corneum, granulosum, spinosum, and basal. Wewere found keratinlayeron the surface of epidermis. The dermis consists of papillare andreticulare stratum. That wasfoundmany sebaceousglands, sudorifera gland, pilimuscle, hair follicles, blood vessels, and collagen fibers. Thehypodermis layers of Etawah cross breed females skin mostly consists ofthe fattytissue,whereas in males we havefound thick and horizontally arranged connectivetissue. The skin layer on male Etawah cross breed, thorax region thicker than the abdomen.The region and sex mayhave an effect on the histologystructureand histomorphometry of Etawah cross breedskin
