Ayu Indah Widayanti. NIM. 1005105054. Effect Combination of BAP-NAA and Explants in Plant Micropropagation of Orchid Vanda tricolor Lindl. var. suavis. Under Direction of: Dr. Ir. Rindang Dwiyani, M.Sc. dan Ir. Hestin Yuswanti, M.P. This research was aimed to investigate the effect combination of NAA-BAP, explant and their interactions in shoot initiation of Vanda tricolor Lindl. var. suavis. Research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agricultural Udayana, during periode of Juny 2013-January 2014. Factorial experiment was arranged by completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The first factor is combination of NAA-BAP at five level (M0; M1; M2; M3; M4) and the second factor is explants at two level (B1 and B2). If there are significant data difference, it should be followed by Duncan’s at level 5%. Results of the study indicate that combination NAA-BAP and explant gave moderate significant effect in shoot initiation of V. tricolor Lindl. var. suavis. Treatment of M1B1, M2B2, M3B2, and M4B1 give the best result in emerging of shoot in 3 days after induction. Average percentage of explant producing shoot highest at M0B1 and M0B2 treatment amount 44,4%, whereas M0B1 treatment give the best results in average number of shoots per explant is 1,7 shoots. Keywords: explant, micropropagation, NAA (naphthalene acetic acid)-BAP (benzyl amino purine, and V. tricolor Lindl. var. suavis,
