PERSEPSI PETANI DI KAWASAN PARIWISATA TERHADAP POTENSI PENERAPAN PRO POOR TOURISM (PPT) (KASUS DI SUBAK JUNJUNGAN UBUD BALI)

This study examines farmers’ perception toward potentiality of pro poor tourism application in Subak Junjungan Ubud Bali. One hunded farmer’s households were chosen as samples based on convenience random sampling method. The study result sugests that the potentiality of pro poor tourism principles to be applied in Subak Junjungan falls into high potentiality category (average score is 403.17 or 80.63% of the maximum score which can be achieved). Since Subak Junjungan farmers also directly involve in tourism activities, it is imperative to develop tourism development by integrating agricultural activitities as one of the main assets to attract tourists. This will benefit farmer as ”the poor” and the implementation of PPT principles. To bring this strategy into life, tourism development should be controlled by a professional management belongs to villagers including farmers. Keywords: perception, farmer, pro poor tourism
