Callus Induction with Aplication of 2,4-D in Micropropagation of Strowberry ((Fragraria x ananassa Duch cv.Rosalinda). Strowberry is grown and well planted in many countries and has high economic value. In Bali, the centra production is in Pancasari Village, Sukasada distric, Buleleng Regency. The limited number and quality of seedling are problems currently faced by strowbwrry farmers at Pancasari village. Seedlings pruduced by conventional propagation are limeted and are not able to meet the needs of seedling avaible for planting area. This study offers solution to the problem by applying micropropagation technique through callus induction. The research aim is to find the optimal consentration of 2,4-D to induce callus of strawberry. Callus that forms will be used a completely randomized design with 2 factors. The fist factor was the consentration of 2.4-D with five levels of treatments, i.e. 0; 0,5; 1,0; 1,5 and 2,0 ppm and the second factors was type of exsplants used, including tip, middle and base of leaf. Result showed that 2,4-D of 1.0 and 2,0 ppm applied on the base of leaf is able to induce 100% callus at 14 days after planting. Callus former was greenish white. The callus will be generation to plantlets or young plants. Key word: stowberry, 2,4-D, callus, induction
