Abstrak

This study was intended to determine the analgesic activity of seaweed gel (Gracilaria sp.) As an alternative to analgesic drugs. Evaluation of the analgesic effect of seaweed gel in test animals is carried by calculating the survival time of mice on the hotplate after being given test treatment, positive control and negative control treatment in test animals. This study only examined one independent variable, namely the dosage variation of the seaweed gel versus the dependent variable, the analgesic power in mice in the form of percent analgesic activity of the seaweed gel fraction. Test group (seaweed fraction gel) with a fraction concentration of 1%; 1.25%; 1.5%. It can be concluded that Voltaren® gel will give analgesic effect in the 30th minute after administration and seaweed gel will give analgesic effect in the 30th to 90th minute after administration.
