DESAIN ULANG KEYBOARD QWERTY PADA UPAYA PENINGKATKAN KECEPATAN PENGETIKAN NASKAH BER-AKSARA BALI

The development will be the amount of information that must be produced for human purposes, it needs the technology to support it. The use of computers as tools become a necessity to use because computers have the capability of quickly presenting the information. Many computer functions to do like playing music, multimedia, game and do the documentation of latin or other documents. Making the documents with one another requires a way even a special tool for the creation of documents easier. To increase the speed of typing Balinese dokument where letters or script that are used are very different in latin dokument, so we need a step or redesign the keyboard (balinese keyboard) for easy typing document. The destination of reserch to determine the speed of typing the Balinese dokument. Samples were students who were divided into a control group using QWERTY keyborad and the experimental group using the balinese keyboard bali which amounted to 12 student. The results showed that the average number of characters produced per minute in the control group was 7.51 and 9.52 in the experimental group. While testing the different test by using test independent sample t test showed the value of t = -7.87 with p = 0.01. Of the value of p<0.05 The above shows that there is significant improvements in speed typing using a Balinese keyboard
