Abstrak

Salt is an important commodity used for complementary seasonings into the kitchen so savory and delicious cuisine. In Bali , the salt produced traditionally by farmers in the salt fields that lie on the coast, especially in the village of Jimbaran. But now, only a few people in Bali who are still undergoing profession salt farmers. Inequality between the necessities of life and income of farmers make they switched professions to improve their living standards. Innovation and salt processing technology for farmers are needed for having an impact on the welfare of the farming community of salt. One way to do was given the knowledge and skill in order to improve the processing salt product with higher value such as Salt for SPA (Bath Salt and Foot Salt) in Jimbaran Regency. Bath and Foot Salt were produced by combination of salt, essential oils, coloring and simplisia. The salt farmer has proven their skill and ability to produce the good quality product of bath salt and foot salt. Bath salt and Foot salt that combine with essential oil, coloring and simplisia was the most favored by the panelist. Keywords : salt, bath salt, foot salt, essential oil, simplisia
