ABSTRACT The experiment was performed to observe the effect of plant spacing to increase seed potatoes production and provide seed potatoes to farmers. Seeds source was potato tubers of Granola cultivar produced using tissue culture techniques. Treatment consisted of 3 different plant spacing, which were 10x10 cm, 15x15 cm and 20x20 cm as control. Each treatment consisted of 9 replicates (plots) with 16 plant each plot. The total number of plot was 27 plot and total G0 seed potato used in this experiment was 432 units. Observations were made on growth percentage, plant height, number of branches, stem diameter, number of tubers and tuber fresh weight. Data obtained from the observations were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and if there is a significant difference between treatments then followed by DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results showed a significant difference (P ? 0.05) on the percentage of plant height percent growth of potato plants. The results of experiment showed that spacing of plant produced more tubers per plant on 10x10 cm spacing. The tendency was gained as much as 4,57 with a range of 1 – 14 tubers. No significant differences (P ? 0.05) were found on number of tubers and tuber fresh weight. Plant spacing affect on competition between plants to get nutrients and sunlight that is able to maximize production. Spacing of 20x20 cm has the highest productivity of G1 potato which is 15.623 kg/plot or the equivalent of 15.6 ton/ha, while the other treatments sequentially that has a spacing of 10x10 cm productivity 13.921 kg/plot or the equivalent of 13.9 ton/ha and spacing 15x15 cm has a productivity of 13.638 kg/plot or the equivalent of 13.6 ton/ha.
