Abstrak
This research has been conducted over 12 weeks, has a purpose to know the carcass of local rabbit given feed diets with different protein energy balance treated in cages underground shelter. The type of rabbit that used in this research is a 20 of male local rabbit which is in 5 weeks age, with a weight of about 189.25 ± 1.54 g. The treatment that used in this research is Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four threatment, each use fivereplications andevery unite use one rabbit. The treatment were diet used protein energy balance (R) consisting of a ration with protein energy balance 156.88 (R1), protein energy balance 154.97 (R2), protein energy balance 153.05 (R3) and the energy protein balance 151.44 (R4). Variable observed were variable slaughter weight, carcass weight, presentation of carcass, weight of carcass pieces and physical carcass composition. Results of this study showed that the treatment ration R3 make slaughter weight and carcass weight higher (P<0.05) than R1, R2 and R4. Presentation of carcass from R1 treatment is lower (P<0.05) than R2, R3 and R4. Presentation of carcass pieces was showed non significant (P>0.05) by diet treatment with different energy protein balance, while the percentage composition meat by R3 diet is higher (P<0.05) than R1, R2, and R4. The percentage composition bone by R3 diet is lower (P<0.05) than R1, R2, and R4. The percentage composition body by R1, R2, R3 and R4 treatment is non significant (P>0.05). The carcass of local rabbits which is fed with feed metabolic energy 2603 kcal/kg and CP 17% is better than treatment metabolic energy ration with 2801 kcal/kg and CP 18.5% with the treatment of protein energy balance 151.50 (R4), metabolic energy ratio with 2402 kcal/kg and CP 15.5% with the treatment of protein energy balance 154.98 (R2), metabolic energy ratio with 2201 kcal/kg and CP 14% with the treatment of protein energy balance 156.89 (R1).
