Abstrak

An experiment was conducted for 8 weeks to determine the effect ofdifferent energy and protein level on growth performance of native chickens at the starter phase (0-8 weeks). 48 unsexed chickens were assigned to four different dietary treatments, having four replicates of three chicks each. Treatment consisted of T1, T2, T3 and T4 containing 3100, 3000, 2900 and 2800 kkal/kg of metabolizable energy and 22, 20, 18 and 16 % crude protein respectively. At the end of experiment, optimal response in growth rate feed conversion ratio, nutrient digestibility and protein intake in native during the starter phase (0-8 weeks) increase with an increased in dietary energy and protein level except feed intakeinitial body, the digestibility of dry matterand protein digestibility of DM and protein digestibility.
