Abstrak

Students need physical fitness which is good for carrying out daily lecture activities. Physical fitness greatly contributes to the health of the body which is influenced by various factors such as body composition, cardiovascular function, muscle function, and body flexibility. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in physical fitness on exercise frequency ?3 times a week and <3 times a week and the index of normal body period and more than normal for students of Medical Students at The Medical Faculty of Udayana University. The study using the analytic cross sectional approach, with a minimum sample size of 81 samples. Physical fitness measurements are carried out with a Cooper Test by running for 2.4 km. The results of this study were significant differences in running time between the two groups of samples based on sports frequency and body mass index. Based on the results of the study, the sample group had better physical fitness, namely the group with exercise ?3 times per week and normal BMI. For the sports group> 3 times a week and BMI more than normal, routine exercise is still needed and set a diet to maintain physical fitness.
