Abstrak

The emosional response such as stress is not a direct consequence of stressors but it is regulated by the way of thinking or beliefs about stressors and how someone can handle them. Everyone has rational and irrational beliefs. The relationship between irrational beliefs and emotional disturbances can be explained by the A-B-C theory. This study aimed to determine the relationship between irrational beliefs and job stress on senior high school teachers in Denpasar. It was an analytical study with a cross sectional design. The data were taken from 46 samples with simple random techniques. Data were collected through the distribution of irrational beliefs and job stress questionnaires. Data analyzed by using Pearson product moment test. The results showed that r = 0.366 and p = 0.012 it means that there were positive and significant relationship between irrational beliefs and job stress on senior high school teachers in Denpasar
