Pengaruh ekstrak etanol daun sambiloto terhadap periportal necrosis dan bridging necrosis hepar pada mencit jantan yang diinduksi karbon tetraklorida

Introduction: Andrographis paniculata is a plant that possesses many medicinal values in treating several disease and for maintain health. One of the benefits as hepatoprotective. However it’s hepaoprotective mechanism have not been fully investigated. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the hepatoprotective effects of A. paniculata especially to improve periportal and bridging necrosis score. Method: This study using experimental post test only with control group design. Amount of the sample is 25 mice. The sample is divided into five groups which group one as a control positive received only pellets, group two receive carbon tetrachloride (0.5 ml/kg BW intraperitoneal), and three of the groups receive A. paniculata extract (50, 100 and 200 mg/kg BW) and carbon tetracholride (0,5 ml/kg BW). Result: Analysis using non parametric test Kruskal Wallis (p=0.040) with Post Hoc test. There was a significant value found in the comparison between control group with CCl 4 group (p=0.048) and comparison between CCl 4 group with AP dose 200 mg/kg BW group (p=0.035). Conclusion: Andrographis paniculata extract could improve periportal and bridging necrosis and AP at dose 200 mg/kg body weight that has the most significant value regarding the improvement of periportal and bridging necrosis score.
