Clostridium difficile is one of the most common cause AAD in children. The objective of the study was to find the proportion of Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea (CDAD) in children and determine the associate factors. A cross sectional study was in children ward Sanglah hospital during November 2016- October 2017. Inclusion criteria were children aged 1 months-12 years who suffered from diarrhea with history of antibiotic prescription 1-60 days prior stool samples were taken, and parents were willing to participate in the study. Exclusion criteria were children with congenital anomalies of gastrointestinal tract, and children who got laxantia before. Infection of C. difficile was confirmed by Toxin A and Toxin B from stool specimen. There were 62 children who were eligible to join the study. The proportion of CDAD was 8.2 percent (5 from 61 samples). The most common used antibiotics were Cephalosporines group. In subjects with CDAD, proportion of aged less than 6 months, mild malnourished, antibiotics usage more than 7 days, and malignancy were higher than subjects without C. difficile infection.
