Cardiovascular disease is one of the causes of death with a high prevalence in Indonesia which number grows every year. One of the medicines to help cardiovascular patients is using anticoagulant. However the utilization report by the National Institute of Health Research and Development of Indonesia is far from complete. The goals from this research is to figure out the profile of anticoagulant use for cardiovascular disease in ICCU Sanglah Hospital. We use the method of descriptive retrospective study which involved using medical record of cardiovascular disease patients who was treated in ICCU of Sanglah Hospital’s in January 2016-June 2016 to gain our data by using the total sampling technic. From 85 patients who meet the criteria, 55 of them used the anticoagulant and 30 patients did not use it. From that fact, we got the number of 64.7% patient used the anticoagulant and 35.3% did not. The subjects are mostly man (40 patients, 72.7%), age 65-74 years old (17 patients, 30.9%), and myocardial infarction patients (22 patients, 40%), with the most used anticoagulants is enoxaparin (36 patients, 60%).
