EeeehjuiEyelid tumors are commonly diagnosed neoplasms in ophthalmology practice. About 5-10% of all skin neoplasms are present on the eyelid. Some malignant tumors of eyelid are difficult to distinguish from benign eyelid tumors. Pathological examination is considered the gold standard in the diagnosis of tumors, but clinical diagnosis remains important for ensuring correct treatment and reduce morbidity and mortality.Top of FormThis study is an observational cross sectional study. Data were collected retrospectively from the medical records from Januari 1st 2015 to Desember 31st 2016. Subjects in this study were 34 patients, 28 cases (82,4%) malignant tumors and 6 cases (17,6%) benign tumors. Both benign and malignant tumors were mostly women (75% and 66,7%). Mean age of benign and malignant tumors was 39.64 ± 21.058 and 58.33 ± 7.09 years old (p=0,041). In benign tumors, age group ?50 years old (67,9%), malignant tumors were >50 years old (100%), (P=0.004). Farmer (32,4%) was the most common job. The most common education of benign tumors were primary and junior high (each 28,6%), malignant tumors were primary school (66,7%), P=0.046). Fifty percent of benign tumors were located on upper eyelids, 33,3% of malignant tumors were located on lower eyelids. The most benign tumors size were <33% (53,6%), malignant tumors were >50% (83,3%), (p<0.001). In group of malignant tumors, the most common tumors were basal cell carcinoma and lymphoma (each of 50%) and benign tumors were intradermal nevus (25%). The most of tumor tissue removal technique was excision with direct closure (67,6%). The accuracy of clinical diagnosis of eyelid tumor was 76,5%.
