Karakteristik Penderita Nonarteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Di Rsup Sanglah Denpasar Tahun 2014 - 2015

Nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) is an ischemic condition which affects proximal portion of the optic nerve supplied by posterior ciliary arteries with resultant acute visual loss. The treatment for NAION remains controversial. Detection of risk factor become important to prevent worsening and fellow eye involvement. This study is made to describe characteristics of NAION patient in Sanglah Hospital and to find out what is the main risk factor in NAION. This is a cross sectional study, were data collected retrospectively from medical report of NAION patient who came to Sanglah Hospital during period January 1st 2014 until December 31st 2015. Data was analyzed with descriptive analyses and presented as frequency, percentage, mean and standar deviation. Subject in this study were fourteen patients (15 eyes), mean aged was 52.6 (SD 7.2) years old, with proportion between female and male were equal. The visual aquity when they first came mayority <6/60-1/60, only 2 contralateral eye with disc at risc. Dominant of the patients with dyslipidemia and all of the patient were given neurotropic. Dyslipidemia have higher potential to become atherosclerotic and trombotic as pathophysiology NAION. Treatment for NAION is a controversial topic, where neurotropic agent hopely can prevent secondary neuronal degenerative.
