Proporsi dan karakteristik mahasiswa penderita nyeri punggung di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana tahun 2018

Background: Back pain is becoming one of the most common illness in society and it can decrease the sufferer’s mobility also productivity. Aim: This study aims to find out the proportion and the characteristic of students who suffer from back pain in Medical Faculty Udayana University, academic year of 2015-2017. Method: This study was a descriptive cross-sectional design as many as 302 by consecutive sampling method and respondents were measured their waist circumference and asked to fill out the Latar Belakang: Nyeri punggung adalah salah satu penyakit yang paling umum di masyarakat dan berpotensi mengurangi mobilitas serta produktivitas penderitanya. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui proporsi dan karakteristik penderita nyeri punggung pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana angkatan 2015-2017. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan rancangan deskriptif crosssectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 302 orang diambil dengan metode pengambilan sampel consecutive sampling dan responden questionnaire. Result: The proportion of back pain sufferers among Medical Faculty students as much as 34.8%, which was dominated by lower back pain. Conclusion: The sufferers of back pain are dominated by women, underweight, central obesity sufferers, daily exercise frequency, excessive backpack load, history of spinal cord injury, incorrect work position, and incorrect sitting position.
