Japanese popular culture has gained significant popularity both in Japan and overseas. In Indonesia, including Bali, there is a fascination among fans of Japanese popular culture products which has grown through the fan community, such as Otaku Organization and Bali Cosplay Community. Factors that encourage fans of Japanese popular culture in Bali join fan community are 1) to gather with fellow fans of Japanese popular culture; 2) to exchange information about Japanese popular culture; and 3) to show the self existence as a fan of Japanese popular culture.
