Transgender dalam Film Animasi Tokyo Godfathers Karya Satoshi Kon

The title of this research is “Transgender in animation film of Tokyo Godfathers by Satoshi Kon”. It focused on finding about the transgender life and public opinion about transgender figure in animation film of Tokyo Godfathers by Satoshi Kon. The theory used in this research is literature sociology theory from Wellek & Warren (1989), semiotics theory from Danesi (2010), and labeling theory from Narwoko & Suyanto (2007). Method for data analysis is descriptive analysis method from Ratna (2009). As the results, the main figure of transgender in animation film of Tokyo Godfathers by Satoshi Kon viewed from three aspect, that is: physiological, psychological, and sosiological. Result of this research is transgender life and public opinion about transgender figure viewed from the physical state of transgender, psyche of transgender, and job of transgender.
