Abstrak

Nusa Penida had been fully inhabited by humans and was potential for some various fauna since Pleistosen period. This research discusses specimens from the suidae family found in Nusa Penida. Since Prehistoric times wild boar had become mandkind’s favorite food hunt. The presence of butchering and arson activity indicated that humans utilized wild boars. The general purpose of this study is to find out the correlation between the bone remains of wild boars from the Gua Gede Site and human activity. Anatomical identification was conducted to identify the specification of the quantity and age variations found on wild boar specimens at site. Meanwhile, user trace analysis was carried out to see evidence of subsistence strategy of the inhabitants of Gua Gede Site.
