Mental Process of Transitivity in Indonesia Court Trial a Forensic Linguistics

Abstrak

The research is applied to Indonesia court trial which used a forensic linguistics approach. This study was aimed at investigating one of the types of processes form transitivity which has forensic symptoms in Jessica- Mirna Court Trial. This study was conducted by applying descriptive qualitative method. The source of data was taken from the conversation in the court trial. The technique for analysing the data is conversation analysis based on mental process. The resulting finding showed that mental process dominated to represent forensic symptoms was 22 % from other processes. It indicates that perpetrator used her cognition to express The use of mental process was used based on the context of the court trial.
