The marginalization of small retailer in traditional markets by the spread of convenience store (minimarket) has caused the emergence of new urban patterns. The increasing number of convenience store with or without permit has changed the market face of Denpasar where in every one kilometer from the road side to the housing complex the convenience store buildings stand close one to another.
