Based on the idea as a social movement that collaborated with business, Fair Trade brings the benefits of trade into the hands of communities that need it most. It sets new social and environmental standards for international companies and demonstrates that trade can indeed be a vehicle for sustainable development. Fair Trade provides a new mechanism that govern the international trade system, in which international trade has been dominated by the free market mechanism. Nevertheless, the concept of Fair Trade still debatable recently, whether it is an alternative trade that can provide benefits to communities inside, or it is a free market mechanism in a new packaging. However, the group of ethic consumer keep campaigning about the awareness in consumption patterns will impact to the smallest element in the trade cycle, local producers or known as a community trade. The cycle that occurs in this trading mechanism will run linearly by eliminating the role of intermediaries (middle man), thus the producers and workers will get profit in proportional amount that bring more welfare to the society.
