Taru Menyan tree is a tree in the grave of Trunyan Village, which has an ecological function as a filter or buffering of odors and neutralizing the air to keep it cool. Trunyan's grave is very unique where the body is not buried but only placed on the ground called the primitive burial system 'sky-burial' (Reuter, 2002) and protected by triangular bamboo (ancak saji). The Taru Menyan tree plays an important role in protecting the grave so it does not smell and avoid the threat of animals such as dogs. This is the uniqueness of the grave of Trunyan Village.
