Abstrak
This paper began from the Kerobokan Denpasar Prison which is always over capacity and the assumption that the security and comfort of Bali tourism is highly dependent on the ability of the Kerobokan Denpasar Prison in conducting a guidance system for inmates. The results of a study by the Udayana University team found the Kerobokan Denpasar LP development model as a "Jail Tourism" as part of alternative tourism by moving the Kerobokan Denpasar LP location to a new location, while the old location was still used as an LP only for tourism activities managed by LPs in collaboration with local government, tourism practitioners and security forces. To find out the response of citizens and foreign tourists to the jail tourism model, a study was conducted using a survey method of 1000 respondents. The technique of determining the sample using random sampling, consisting of 500 respondents were local people and 500 respondents were foreign tourists, with data analysis techniques using Likert scale analysis. Based on the attitude scale test of 1,000 respondents consisting of 500 local community respondents gave an attitude towards Kerobokan Prison as a tourist destination, where the local community an average of 8.5% had a strongly agreed attitude, 54.5% had an agreed attitude, 24.7 % have a doubtful attitude, 9.1% have a disagreeing attitude, and 3.1% have an attitude of not knowing about the development of the Kerobokan Denpasar LP as a tourist destination. For 500 foreign tourist respondents showed that an average of 5.9% expressed a strongly agree attitude, 55.3% had an agreed attitude, 25.3% had a doubtful attitude and 10.5% had a disagreeing attitude and 4.3% stated ignorance.
