Susila is a rule about proper behavior that must be applied as way of life for human. It aims to develop good relationship among society, and to preserve harmonic relationship between human and God as creator. There is a classical literary work that discuss about morality for children. This classical literary work is written on a writing media which is called lontar. This literary work specifically addresses the attitude that must be carried out by children to their parents based on Susila. The classical literary work that is talking about entitled Kakawin Putra Sasana. This study focused on two problems, they are: (1) How are the text about susila is written in Kakawin Putra Sasana? (2) What is the context about the text in the society?. Although Kakawin Putra Sasana is a text, however it cannot be separated from its context, namely society. Since, a text cannot be separated from the context.
